Do you ever feel half alive? Do you dream of a life fully lived but it’s as if it’s just beyond your reach, or as if something is creating a block between you and that version of yourself? As if you can see them, but can’t quite get there?
Life has been a constant flux of contraction and expansion for me. I find inspiration, I feel capable, and then suddenly, fear, shame, hopelessness, and anxiety seem to arise out of nowhere, leaving me feeling controlled by my habits rather than connected to my own sovereignty. These waves often left me feeling trapped by my own self, and for many years I didn't have the understanding of how long bound trauma created patterns in my body, mind, and emotions, that kept me small, ashamed, unworthy, and feeling incapable of being more.
Do you ever feel like this? Like you know there is more to you and life, but there’s a part of you that won’t let you? There's anxiety, fear, depression, and constriction that prevent you from cultivating more joy, peace, and freedom.
It's not your fault. You are not broken. You and your body have simply made the wisest decisions at each point in your life for your own safety and survival.
Many of us experienced childhoods that cultivated in us a sense of fear, unworthiness, and shame, because we were emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically silenced. This created self limiting beliefs and habits that were given to us from circumstances we did not consent to.
As ever changing and expanding beings, through somatic storytelling we can unravel the past from our present and live an empowered and wholly alive life...........
